The evening topped off a fantastic night for Christchurch-based owner Ian Dobson whose famous lime green colours were carried to victory by both Akuta in the Group 1 Dawson Harford Limited Taylor Mile and Muscle Mountain in the Group 2 Lone Star Alexandra Park Lyell Creek Stakes.
The highly impressive Muscle Mountain in the hands of Ben Hope cruised to an easy 3 1/4 length victory in the night’s feature trot race with this win also bringing up Ben’s 200th career driving success. Ian Dobson was not able to be onsite to celebrate his victories however his Auckland-based daughter Lyn was here to accept the much-deserved accolades.
