Zac Butcher looking to round out another successful season at The Park in winning style
Talented young reinsman Zac Butcher has enjoyed another successful season and currently sits second on the Alex Park driver’s premiership with 35 wins for the season on track. With three good drives lined up for this Friday night, he looks a massive chance of rounding out the season on a very good note. The Alex Park newsdesk caught up with Zac to discuss his book of drives, of which he thought Arden’s Choice would be the hardest to beat.
Here’s what Zac had to say:
Race 1 (7) Killer Queen – “This represents a drop back in class for her but she appears to be struggling to find her form at the moment. She definitely has the ability but she would need to be taken on trust. With luck she can fill a spot in the top three.”
Race 4 (4) Spring Campaign – SCRATCHED
Race 5 (6) Arden’s Choice – “She went massive last week after galloping away from the stand. Back to the mobile tonight will suit her down to the ground and even though there are a couple of talented types in this race, she is well up to them and if she reproduces her closing sectionals from last week, they will be hard pressed to beat her and she would clearly rate as my best winning drive of the night.”
Race 7 (3) New Years Jay – “She ran a really good race for third (promoted) in her first up race in the north in the Winter Cup behind Hug The Wind and she will only have benefited from her first look around The Park and the right-handed way of going. The small field is probably not ideal for her winning chances as it will be hard to beat a horse like her stablemate Hug The Wind but she is as good a chance as the rest in that field of finishing behind him and gives the stable a strong hand at getting the quinella.”
