This Friday's sectional standout runners…get on while the odds last
Race 2 (7) Vibhuti – In a very similar field to what he met last week, Vibhuti must rate a massive chance of going one better and picking up his second grass track graduate series race. He had to drop back to the rear of the field last week over the 1700m and was a fast finishing second in the slushy conditions after having to come the widest off the top bend. His closing sectionals were the quickest in the race, cutting out his last half in 56.3 with a final mile rate of 1.58.1 and he looks a really good chance of getting over the top of these.
Race 5 (6) Arden’s Choice – You won’t get massive odds about her in this race but she would be a must on any multi ticket. She put in an early gallop off the unsuitable standing start and back to the mobile tonight there should be no repeat of that. The track was slushy last week and she did extremely well to pick herself up and finish like she did, especially given she is only a 3-year-old filly. Her closing sectionals were by far the best of any in the race, her last half coming in a quick 55.3 which was a second quicker than anything else in the race. She ran her last mile in 1.56.3 and if she is to repeat anything near that on what should be much improved track conditions, take any odds about her that the bookies might offer you.
Race 8 (8) Everlasting Grace – She is a horse that has really taken a liking to these grass track graduate series races and has really found some good form in her last half a dozen starts. This field is no harder than what she has been competing with distinction in and on the back of her last start run where she dropped to the tail, came five & six wide on the bend and still finished faster than anything else, she looks a massive chance of picking up the last of the grass track graduate races. She is another that ran the quickest closing sectionals of her race last week with a 58.4 last half and a final mile rate of 1.58.4 and given the track was deteriorating and she had to cover more territory than any other runner, she looks a massive chance of getting you some money in this.
Race 9 (6) Trilogy – He continues to improve and that was underlined by a fast finishing second to a very smart type last week. He dropped to the tail of the field and stormed home in the final 200m of the race. His last half was cut out in 56.0 with a final mile rate of 1.58.9 which was 1 second faster than anything else in the race. He is a horse with a lot of ability and in a small field expect an aggressive Scott Phelan drive and another that will be very hard to beat.
