Ray Green has already trained seven winners here at The Park this season and this Friday he looks a very good chance of adding to that tally with five very nice chances lining up across the night. According to Ray the talented Spring Campaign looks to be the leading light for the team and he expects him to be going very close in the sixth on the card. The AP newsdesk had a chat with Ray and more often right than wrong, you'd be a fool not to listen very closely to what he had to say.

Race 1 (1) Strike The Gold – “He’s going along nicely at the moment and it’s been really pleasing to see him fit & getting back to the form he had shown earlier in his career. He is holding his condition really well and despite been up against some higher assessed runners this week, the small field and standing start means he won’t be without his chance. In the few starts he has had from the tapes he has handled them really well so been the only one off the front of the tapes and 15m in front of his nearest rival, if he can reproduce those good beginnings it could make things interesting for the rest, especailly if they are slowly away themselves.”

Race 2 (5) Rocknroll Lincoln – “He went real good at the workouts on the weekend and that was really pleasing leading into this week’s race. We had a few issues with his feet since his strong effort for second to a nice type on debut which probably explians why he was slightly dissapointing in those two subsequent runs but we have worked thorugh them and he seems back to his best form now. He’s working well at home and definitely sharp enough to feature prominently in this.”

Race 4 (4) Killer Queen – “She is racing so honestly and has been for a while now. The 3YO of Reid & McMullan’s will be extremely tough to beat but if she got the right run and he had to do a bit of work, she is definitely good enough to give him a real fright. She is quite a versatile mare so we will just see how the race pans out and hope that she can find the right run and if she does, she rates as a definite top three chance.”

Race 6 (8) Spring Campaign – “This guy rates as my best winning chance of the night. He is trialling & working really well and has come back off a short spell in really fine fashion. We’ve always had a quite  a high opinion of him but he hasn’t always raced up to expectations although in saying that, I think time has been his best friend and he seems to be working out the racing game a lot more now and steering much better. We are expecting him to go well and even though the other of ours in the race is rather talented too, this guy is the more forward of the pair and I expect him to go close to taking this out.”

Race 6 (7) Alta Intrigue – “He too has come back really well off a spell and looks in for a good season himself. His latest trial was good and the only thing that is probably going to count against him this week is his lack of race fitness. He is a class horse who will only get better with racing and is one to watch out for over the coming weeks but at the same time you could never completely count out a runner of his class.”
