Ray Green looking for more Alex Park success this Friday night

Jul 6, 2016 Uncategorized

Pukekohe trainer Ray Green has a nice team of five lining up this Friday night at The Park and he looks to be in with a good chance of yet another night of success here at The Park. The Alex Park newsdesk spoke to Ray to discuss his team’s chances and of the five he has lined up, despite all looking like they could be major players, he rated talented three-year-old Perfect Storm as the pick of the bunch.

Here’s what he had to say:

Race 1 (12) Reine Des Gitans – “ÏShe trotted nicely last week and got a well-deserved victory. She has trained on well since then and I expect her to go well again.”

Race 2 (2) Like A Hurricane – “ÏHe returns here after a month off and he looks to have come back in good order. His form in early June was very good and expect him to pick up where he left off. He trialled tough on the weekend and he will be ready to go a good race on Friday.”

Race 2 (3) Perfect Storm – “ÏHe went super last week and got due rewards for his efforts over the past few months. He is a talented horse and I expect him to go on with it. He will go close again on Friday and I would rate him as my best winning chance on the night.”

Race 3 (6) Spring Campaign – “ÏHe was very unlucky last week when never getting a go at them late. The run in behind them though would have taught him a lot and he will be a much better horse for it. In this field I expect him to go really well and be tough to hold out.”

Race 4 (7) Killer Queen – “ÏHer form has been on the improve in her past couple of runs and I am expecting her to continue on that way in this. She is working well and with a bit of luck in what is quite a nice field of fillies & mares, I rate her a top three chance in this.”
