Mo Casino leading the way for the Reid/McMullan barn this Friday night
The Pukekohe training partnership of Steven Reid & Simon McMullan have been on fire here at The Park this season, having already racked up eight winners, six second & five thirds from just the 40 starters. This Friday night at The Park they look to add to their already impressive tally and they must rate a very good chance of doing just that with five good chances lining up. The AP newsdesk caught up with training partner Simon to assess how the team was heading into Friday night and of the five they have in, he rated the in-form Mo Casino their best winning chance of the night. Here's what Simon had to say.
Race 3 (5) My Kiwi Lady – “She’s trained on well since her last start win but that was against the non-winners so she is up in grade tonight and will notice the step up in class. In saying that though, she is a nice filly with ability and her work at home suggests she is well and ready to go another good race. I rate her an each-way chance in this.”
Race 7 (6) Mo Casino – “He is going super at the moment and continues to impress us in what has probably been stronger fields than what he meets this week. He gets into this nicely with the junior claim and in the form he is showing on the track and at home currently, I rate him a really good winning chance and our best of the night.”
Race 8 (6) Booming Jet – “She has been competitive for a number of starts recently and hasn’t always had the best of luck in the running. She strikes another fairly even sort of field this week but the draw does make things a little tougher for her. Zac is back on board tonight and he seems to get on really well with her so she has to rate a solid each-way chance if luck can swing her way.”
Race 8 (11) Samaritan – “He has dissapointed us a tad in recent starts when we thought he might go a couple better than he has and the draw works against him this week. He hasn’t been all that far away though so he would have to rate an outside place chance again.”
Race 10 (6) Mark Of Integrity – “He”s ticking along ok currently and while a little dissapointing last week, he did a few things wrong but the run has definitely brought him on. He’s still a shade green though and he will need to work things out before he really hits top gear. The small field will help his chances and he rates a place chance this week.”
