You Gotta Go with the Dali Queen again this Friday night at The Park

Nov 16, 2016 Trainer Interviews

Frank Cooney & Tate Hopkins look to have a real nice filly in their barn in the form of the very promising Dali filly Gotta Go Dali Queen. She won very impressively first up on the track back in early September and on the back of an impressive workout win at Pukekohe last week, she looks on track to make it two from two this Friday night at The Park. The AP Newsdesk caught up with training partner Tate to discuss how his 2 runners were heading into Friday night and even though they also have the ultra consistent Eclipse Me in the field, he labelled the Queen as a "winner".Here's what Tate had to say:

Race 8 (4) Gotta Go Dali Queen – “She has come back real good for this off the back of her very impressive first up win back in September. She has continued to develop and is a much stronger horse now too. She won her workout impressively last week at Pukekohe and has continued to improve since that. She is very forward and ready to run a big race and I expect her to be a winner.”

Race 8 (8) Eclipse Me – “She is really nice horse herself but she will most likely need this first up run. The draw won’t do her any favours so she will most likely be taken back and hope for a bit of luck in the run. She is working well but she needs the race fitness and we will be happy if she can be running on at the finish.”
