Follow the John & Josh Dickie trained team very closely this Friday at The Park
The father & son training partnership of John & Josh Dickie have been in superb form with their team all season and whenever they line a horse up, you need to be including their runners in all your combo’s. This Friday night looks no different with two runners in and two strong chances, including the recent edition to their stable from the south in promising young trotter Winner’s Shout. The Alex Park newsdesk spoke to son Josh who said he couldn’t split the two, rating them both very good chances.
Here’s what Josh had to say:
Race 1 (11) Bronze Over – Scratched
Race 2 (6) Winner’s Shout – “He’s been with us about a fortnight and he seems to have settled in well. He was with Phil Williamson down south and Phil said he really likes him and is confident he will do really well up here in the north so that’s a pretty good rap from a man like himself. He’s been working well and he’s given us every indication that he should handle the right-handed way of going although in saying that, it’s never easy for any horse first up at The Park. He will improve with whatever he does on Friday but with a bit of luck in this sort of field he should measure up and be hard to beat.”
Race 7 (1) Joanednobettor – “She’s been racing really well of late and has been able to put a couple of really good wins on the board at her last two. She did a particularly good job last week coming 5 wide on the bend and still had enough left to peg back the one who had snuck a couple of lengths break at the top of the straight. This is a step up in grade from her last couple but the small field and good draw helps and I expect her to be finishing in three again.”
