Australasian Inter Dominion Carnival

The Australasian Inter Dominion Championships is one of the world's great harness racing series. On a traditional rotation schedule the championships are run throughout Australia and New Zealand and are regarded as the premier harness racing event for both countries. A heat and final series is conducted for both Pacers and Trotters.           

The 2010 pacers championship to be held in New South Wales at three venues over three weeks with the final to be held  at Tabcorp Park Menangle on Sunday March 7th. Some of Australasia’s best pacers are set to do battle throughout the championship with New Zealand stars such as Monkey King, Kiwi Ingenuity and last year’s champion Mr Feelgood set to compete.

For the third successive year the 2010 trotters championship will be held in Victoria with the final set down for Saturday February 6th at Moonee Valley. This night marks the final harness meeting at Moonee Valley as HRV moves it Metropolitan racing to the new Tabcorp Park Melton. Kiwi stars will be well represented at the trotters championships with stars such as One Over Kenny, Stig and Springbank Richard set to do battle with the Chris Lang trained Victorian stars Sundons Gift and Skyvalley.    

The rotation schedule continues for the next two years at Addington Raceway (Christchurch, NZ) in 2011 and Gloucester Park (Perth, Aus) in 2012 prior to a review to establish the best option for the series moving forward.
